Baume & Mercier Classic Style in the Classima Collection

Few companies can trace their roots back to the early 1800’s, but Baume & Mercier began in 1830 with family at its backbone first established in the Swiss Jura. With timepieces of quality growing in popularity, they quickly began catering to the tastes of women as well as men and offering their timepieces internationally. A branch in London opened called “Baume Brothers” which was the tipping point an explosion in exposure and need for their timepieces from Africa to Burma and New Zealand to Singapore.
The style of the timepieces are not the only recognizable achievements of the brand. Rather, the precision of timekeeping has also blown away timing trials with their watches and chronometer pocket-watches.
In 1918 Paul Mercier joined William Baume, company director, to create the Baume & Mercier we know today. Their craftsmanship has pushed the limits of fashion and beauty throughout decades of change and have been displayed in museums and worn by the world’s elite.
The Baume et Mercier Classima collection features stainless steel or leather straps, sapphire crystal case, stainless steel case, automatic movement, roman numerals at 12, 3, 6 and 9, and water resistance. The Baume and Mercier Classima 10075 exemplifies some of the very best of Baume & Mercier with an opaline line guilloché finished dial, and at Woodrow Jewelers of Rye, NY, our customer service will have you styled in some of the very best luxury watches in the world. The designer also features collections like the Hampton, Capeland, and Clifton collections. Many are water resistant with varying case diameters and gold, rose gold, and silver dials.
The motto by the original Freres Baume company in the 1800’s was “Accept only perfection, only manufacture watches of the highest quality”. It is hard to believe the swiss made company has exemplified anything less since its fruition.
