Marco Bicego
Founded in 1958, Marco Bicego was handed down the business by his father, and its entire brand is built on three techniques: hand engraved 18K gold, hand twisted coil, and multicolored gemstones. The hallmark style created by his family’s traditions has brought life to a brand that is easily recognizable and appreciated by those who respect craftsmanship.
Hand engraved: The signature style of the brand that is created with a special tool called a “bulino”. The bulino gives a brush-like texture to the gold and to this day is done by hand to give each piece a fingerprint to each piece. Six collections feature the hand engraved technique: Lunaria, Siviglia, Murano, Delicati, Jaipur Link, and Africa. The Lunaria collection is one of the most easily recognized to be Marco Bicego’s style. Flat or bent disks of white or yellow gold are hand molded into earrings, rings, necklaces, and bracelets. Siviglia is meant to represent the cobblestone streets found in the city of Seville, and the pebble-like pieces feature the same engraving technique passed down from generations. It’s hard to believe such small and delicate pieces could be designed and created by hand. The Murano collection, which also features many of the multicolor gemstones that are iconic to the designer’s style, draws inspiration from the Italian coastline of Venice. Inspired by some of the designer’s favorite collections, Delicati is a representation of delicate designs drawn from the best of his various pieces all while keeping true to his special technique. Jaipur Link features the hand engraved style with rustic 18k gold circles all linked into one fabulous piece that is sure to grab anyone’s attention. Lastly, the Africa collection utilizes the hand engraved technique with spheres of gold creating a confident look for day or night.
Hand twisted coil: A delicate and precise technique that takes thick gold strands and turns them into “thread” that can be worked into myriad shapes and finishes. There are three iconic collections that showcase the twisted coil technique: Cairo, Goa, and Marrakech. With a silk-like effect, layers of yellow gold make up the Cairo collection that one could imagine would adorn the neck, wrists, fingers, or ears of ancient Egyptian goddesses. Goa features layers of thin strands of white, yellow, and rose gold with diamonds that create labyrinth-like designs. Strands upon strands of coiled yellow, white, and rose gold, some adorned with diamonds, makes the Marrakech collection unique. This collection takes those same coiled pieces of gold and twists them by hand with machine-like precision. Whether you're looking for Marco Bicego earrings, the Marrakech necklace, or the Goa ring, Woodrow Jewelers of Rye, NY has the piece you want.

Roberto Coin
Roberto Coin, the jewelry designer who signs each piece of jewelry with a small ruby, started in brand in 1996 after he left his career as a hotel manager. His first store opened that year in NYC on the famous street Fifth Avenue. Inspired by different cultures and ethnic influences, he quickly gained acceptance into the jewelry world with his experimentation and innovation. That acceptance grew into revered experience in which he was given the honor of joining the Board of Directors of the World Diamond Council in 2000. Most recently, The Pois Moi Collection was awarded as the best Italian jewelry collection in the world by the International Palladio Awards.
His collections are inspired by places, animals, cultures, etc. that all culminate into a piece that could fit any style, taste, and budget. Among the most classic collections is Appassionata, the collection that took over two years of development to design and research so that gold could look and act like a mesh cloth. It is also the first of Roberto Coin’s collections to be adorned with the signature red ruby. The Roberto Coin Cento collection celebrates the diamond and Roberto Coin’s tireless need to create a diamond that was better than any he had seen before – with 100 facets creating a mesmerizing kaleidoscope of reflecting light. Other collections by Roberto Coin include Animalier (precious sculptures of animals turned masterpieces of design), Black Jade, Cocktail, Fantasia, Golden Gate, Pois Moi, Primavera, Princess, and Shanghai to name just a few more. The new Barocco collection features thread-like, woven, and complex designs of gold and diamonds that elevate any special occasion or add sophistication to the everyday.
Buccellati
To appreciate the present one must learn the past, especially in the case of Buccellati, one of the most historic Italian-born jewelry designing families. Mario Buccellati, the founder of the famous Italian jewelry movement, opened his first boutique in Milan in 1919. By 1951, he opened the first store in the United States in NYC, and his second on the famous NYC street of Fifth Avenue, with the help of one of his sons, Luca. Gianmaria Buccellati, another son of Mario, founded the Italian Gemological Institute and opens a store in Paris, France and is dubbed among his peers as one of the most prestigious jewelers of the world in 1979. The culmination of five centuries of Italian art and techniques passed down from several generations has built the brand that stands tall on the podium of the best jewelry designers in the world.
Dream Bracelets | Cufflinks | Band Rings |
Dream Bracelets Collection is the perfect representation of the brand in one timeless piece. Intricate settings with gemstones that sparkle on the backdrop of hand-tooled metal that gives a cloth-like texture. Cufflinks expand the brand’s appeal with the simplest to the most elaborate designs using yellow gold, precious stones, and diamonds. Band Rings are small but don’t let their size fool you – they certainly don’t lack in detail. Specifically designated empty and full spaces in the designs give the rings an almost “lacey” appearance with the most beautiful of diamonds and gold details leading to a centrally located precious stone. Lastly, in the realm of luxury timepieces, the Buccellati Audachron watch has features that are classic of Italian style.
